Jefferson County Registered Historic Landmarks
These historic sites and structures have been designated Jefferson County Historic Landmarks. The year of their designation is listed, along with the notation of those properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Criteria for designating a property a Jefferson County Historic Landmark
The Landmarks Commission may designate an individual building, structure or historic site as an historic landmark if it:

A. is associated with events that have made a significant contribution to the broad patterns of our history; or

B. is associated with the lives of significant persons in or past; or

C. embodies the distinctive characteristics of a type, period, or method of construction, or that represent the work of a master, or that possess high artistic values, or that represent a significant and distinguishable entity whose components may lack individual distinction; or

D. yielded or may be likely to yield, information important in history or prehistory.
